About Us:
Harriet Learning Center is a growing EIDBI (Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention) provider dedicated to supporting children and young adults (ages 18months–21years) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related conditions. We deliver compassionate, culturally competent ABA therapy services across the Twin Cities—offered in homes, schools, the community, and soon, at our new center in Minneapolis.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in implementing treatment plans and providing support to clients in various settings. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals through effective behavioral interventions.
Provide direct support to clients with developmental disabilities, including autism, in both home and community settings. Collect and maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor client progress and report findings to supervisors or behavior analysts. Assist in the development of behavioral goals and strategies tailored to each client's needs. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy sessions. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field (i.e. psychology, sociology, etc). No experience? No problem! The first two weeks of employment are dedicated to training at full pay and full-time hours All expenses paid to obtain your RBT (registered Behavior Technician) Reliable transportation and ability to pass a DHS background check
Experience or education in Applied Behavior Analysis or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism. Knowledge of medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. A passion for patient care and commitment to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. Previous experience in special education or behavioral therapy is a plus.
